The F. Scott Fitzgerald Student Art Poster Contest 2024

            3rd Annual F. Scott Literary Festival Art Poster Contest 2024

Montgomery County High School students are invited to submit a poster design for the F. Scott Fitzgerald Literary Festival Poster Contest which is part of our annual festival.

Who: High School Students who attend a Montgomery County Public High School

What: A Poster Design Competition for use by the F Scott Fitzgerald Literary Festival 2024

The poster should reflect one of our themes based on:

1. Fitzgerald's life or works (possibly his family’s association with Rockville)

2. The 2024 Honoree: Jesmyn Ward

3. Jesmyn Ward's writings

4 This year’s festival theme “Writing the hard stories”  

Submission should include artist’s name, title, size of artwork, material, bio, artist statement about the artwork and its connection to the themes, email, phone number, and full address.

 

The First Place winner's original artwork will belong to the F. Scott Fitzgerald Literary Conference, Inc.

 

The Festival will have use of the image for reproduction in social media, hard copy material, and on our website. The artist will maintain rights to reproduce the work.

Submission of a digital image of the work must be delivered on or before Monday, July 1, 2024

Judging will take place by the end of July.

The art work by the winner and finalists will be exhibited at the F. Scott Fitzgerald Literary Festival to be held in Rockville on Saturday, September 28th, 2024.

Honorarium/Award: $500 will be awarded to the winner. 2nd and 3rd place will be awarded $200 each. Each winner will receive a FREE ticket to the festival. (We encourage the artist to be there to respond to attendees’ comments and questions.)
